Description
The D-WPW240 is an extra-long articulated keyboard-tray arm that can be mounted to a pole or a wall. For wall mounting we sell an optional wall-adapter. This is the longest articulated pole arm in the market: 24 inches. Now you can set up a long-reach keyboard arm attached to a sturdy pole or wall. The arm has 4 articulations, allowing to use the keyboard tray to be set in virtually in any direction. These articulations can easily be tightened or loosened, to match your ergonomic comfort. The keyboard tray itself (not the arm) tilts down to 45 degrees and includes a foam pad for the mouse. The arm is always parallel to the floor (at about 90 degrees to the pole or wall). When attached top a pole, you can easily re-set the height along the pole by loosening the clamp and select the new height. The tray is tiltable. You can pull the keyboard shelf out, push it back in, turn it to the sides, and flex the articulations in any horizontal direction.* Create a Wall Computer Workstation: just attach this keyboard arm to a wall, and then attach any of our LCD Wall-Mounts above it (e.g. CUZZI DW170DS), and you have created a space-saving Wall Computer Workstation, saving valuable floor space. If your bed is next to a wall, you can use this set-up in bed, and then swing the arm away when not in use. For wall mounting, simply remove the clamp (one bolt) and replace it with the optional wall adapter. One of the images shows this arm on our CUZZI DVC02-BYO pole station. Perhaps my own fault for not examining more closely...The arm folds only on the horizontal plane, providing no height adjustment. This means that the fact that the clamp can only be applied "so high" (to the limit of the underside of the desk), I can't get the keyboard train to where I need it (heigh wise).Additionally, even if I tighten the joints so much that I can't freely adjust the distance of the arm, each of the joints is so loose that the tray actually looses height as it gets further from the clamp. This may not be an issues with the joints, but could actually be coming from the fact that the clamp can be adjust to work on a horizontal bar instead of a vertical (which is a nice feature, but not if it's going to be this loose). If I snug up each of the joints, the arm pivots on the clamp (I'm not willing to "over tighten" the clamp, as I don't want to risk bending the metal of my desk legs). The manufacturer claims that the keyboard tray is 10" (10 inches) deep. It's actually only about 8 3/4. I'd imagine that for most folks, this isn't an issue, but my keyboard is *actually* nearly 10" (like 9 7/8 ish) deep. I was counting on this tray being deep enough for my keyboard. With some finagling, I'm able to get it to sort of "snug in", and it works well enough in this configuration, but it's not ideal. All told, it's a collection of little problems and minor disappointments. The non-adjustable height issue is probably my own fault. Not so much on the rest.
